03 corolla fluids

i haven't changed any fluids on my 03 corolla (90,000kms) except for oil every 4-5,000kms. i heard there's supposed to be an upcoming service at 97,000kms. should i do anything now? i.e. coolant, auto trans fluid etc.???

I'm pretty sure an '03 should have had the coolant changed a while ago (every 24-30k miles). The transmission fluid is likely still good, though most will recommend changing it more often. Check your owner's manual for the proper fluid maintenance intervals.

55,923 miles

I change mobil one oil every 5,000 miles, tranny toyota TIV fluid every 10,000 (partial drain fill), I do a tranny filter change every 20,000). I change out my brake fluid every pad change (35/45,000) use russells speed bleeds they are great. I flush the coolant every 5 yrs.
I special note on that tranny filter change I wouldnt put that off. Drop that pan and clean everything out (I use brake cleaner solvent in the spray can)(You better use solvent gloves while dealing with this stuff). Go ahead and get the new gasket and filter instead of cleaning the old one. If you have allot of milage you will have some metal in the filter and pan I know I did. The hoses get changed at 100,000. The struts where changed at 90,000 alone with the cv shafts and the tranny seals, front bearings (i had some issues with the front end). The rear brakes last a long time but may need some synthetic grease or anti seize added to the contact points. Its prolly about time for you to clean out that throttle body also. If you have any special interest on any of these items listed dont hesitate to ask specific questions. The goodyear gatorback belt seems to be the best belt for this car. It runs quiet and doesnt squeak much.
With proper maintenance these corollas should last us a long time.

I agree with alligatorgar regarding the transmission fluid service. At the very least perform a drain and refill.

Oops I almost forgot. I use a turkey baster to pull out the power steering fluid and refill with dextronIII fluid. Ive done this over and over until the fluid is red again and not brown. It will take a month to do this but the gradual fluid change gave me peace of mind swappiing out the fluids without shocking all the seals in the p/s.
