I went to Sears Auto Center to get my rims and tires put on, they said I need an hubcentric ring or vibrator ring so these will fit snug. Where can I go to get this?

Will i be needing wheel spacers as well? the wheels say the setup is still OE but not sure if my calipers will be in the way or not. This is my first time ever buying rims so all the help I get is much appreciated
It looks like the wheels have a 42mm offset. So they should be fine from that regard. I'm still having trouble finding out what type of lug nuts they use. Do you have the wheels (physically)?
The FF7 uses a 60* conical style lug nut. You don't need the hub rings. The wheels will not vibrate on your car as long as you use conical (acorn type) lug nuts. The lug nuts will center the wheel on your hub assembly automatically, as they're tightened down. Just make sure they tighten all the lug nuts in the recommended "star" pattern and that they're torqued properly.
I might take it somewhere other than Sears if they're not familiar enough with this.
hmm so Sears is just being weird I guess. But then again, they just asked If I had an installation kit with it, I told them no and then they said I "Need" the hub centric rings so it wont vibrate while driving. They took the rims out of the box and just said that flat out without even tryin it now that I think about it. wow, thanks for keeping me in check on that man. I will be calling meineke now
maybe its best to be safe getting the hub centric rings though... i read that a guy never put them on and one day his front wheel went crazy and flew off
It all depends on the type of wheel, and type of lug nuts used. Most wheels out there (like your new ones) are lug-centric wheels and the wheel is centered by the lug nuts. As long as those new wheels use a conical seat like the website says, you'll be good to go.
The ring is for wheels that are hub-centric (like the stock Toyota alloy wheels). These wheels use a shank-style lug nut and have no means to center the wheel on the hub besides the centerbore. Replacement wheels often have a larger bore than required, so they can fit multiple types of vehicles...and a ring is needed to take up the space between the small hub on the vehicle and the larger bore of the wheel.
But again, this is ONLY required if you have hub-centric wheels. It appears that your new wheels are lug-centric, and so absolutely do NOT require those rings.
I ordered the lugs for the FF7 style rims so that way the cap will still cover them as they are meant to be and it also comes with the hub centric ring just in case. But I am taking your advice, as soon as I receive the installation kit I will now know its not required. Thanks for you help
