CD Not Working

Guys,

The CD player on my 2004 T-Sport has stopped working. I've tried to clean the lens but this still does not work - the radio works perfectly.

Has anyone else had this problem previously, if so - how did you fix?

In addition, do you know if it's possible to replace the 2004 cd with a newer version with an Ipod connection?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Rob

I don't have a fix for you, but my CD player has acted up before and then been fine a couple days later. For a while it would forcefully eject CDs at top speed! Freaked me out the first time it happened (while I was driving!!!) but after that it was pretty funny. Annoying, but funny.

Chances are the CD player is not worth fixing, You should be able to buy a dash kit and install any aftermarket CD/DVD decks... I believe you can even get the dual DIN kits to fit dual DIN DVD/navi decks.

If the cd player says error and ejects the cd everytime you put one in you probably need a new head unit. On my 03 the cd player stopped working outta no where and I'm stuck listening to the radio all the time. It sucks but I'm gonna deal with it for now lol.
