These leds are soldered directly to the board, they are also surface mount thus are tiny. They cannot be replaced unless you have a lot of skill and want to take an iron to your speedo board.

Rdkill Please keep in my mind am just a newbie…….. What exactly do you mean soldered directly to the board…….which board??……….surface mounts?? Your vehicle looks awesome…..the head lamps & front lower lights.
The PCB board is a typical electronics board that is green in colour and has many electrical components soldered directly to it. The light bulbs/LED's that are used for our instrument gauge display are directly soldered to the board. To remove them you must take out the gauge cluster and open it up to access the board. Once you get to it you must replace the bulbs by desoldering/soldering LED's and re assemble
It's a more intense mod, but has been done carefully by many new moders with a helpfull DIY guide. The DIY guide can be found on 9th gen corolla . com
Thanks…. From this I make out that it’s a typical electronic greenish looking chip board like used in pcs… rip it open…… remove the default / stock LEDS & solder the newer/different color ones……am I correct…..& roughly where would this be located?
Can’t find a DIY for a 9th Gen Corolla……..found one for Camry…….how does one differentiate btw the color of the stock LEDs & buying new ones……..do the newer ones come with a color printed…..so many questions…..Back ground change, needles colors, gauges LEDS?
Main question…….default display vs. a custom imaginative display ……always is exact & possible?
Anyhow thanks Mr. Ryan I got the start shall work on it.
Can I change the color of the needles, back ground from black to white, gauges lights which mostly are red, Rpm & Speedo reading markings from white to some other etc?
Now keep in mind , this is the 'lazy' way. Trust me the LED swap will need a professional to do and also most people screw up the speedo needle...meanin 5mph off or over the speed your really driving. There is a website that sells overlays for our car that you just put on top like a sticker. It has red, blue, and like a amber type of tone to it. Keep in mind by doing this the overlay is slightly tinted and will reflect the WHITE to turn into those following color of your choice. You are not replacing any leds.
