2004

I am wondering the value of a 2004 with over 300,000km on the car with:

04/corolla ex-taxi new engine new trany new brakes new battery recently spent $2600 runs great selling beacuse bought new one. . . .

sold for $3500 is it worth it, or is it overpriced? What would be its worth?

Does the odometer actually show a number that's over 300,000km?

Yes it does. However, this gentlemen is coming clean saying that it was an ex taxi and has priced it accordingly. (at $3500, however, he is not willing to go further down on price as it is still an 04 Corolla, and not a 1994 Corolla). I am wondering if it is worth it in today's economy with the prices of cars dropping. I know that had it not been for the economic downturn, it would have been a no brainer to go for it, but this downturn changes everything.

In my opinion for 3500 Canadian dollars, I believe it would be worth it. New Tranny/Engine pretty well covers the expensive drivetrain parts hit mostly from mileage.

Typical 9th gen Rolla's coming out of Canada have the odometer stop at 299 999.99km This may be different since you are located in Australia?

No mate, I am currently in Canada. I am a Canadian-Born Chinese-Indonesian mixed male. Father is from Xiamen, China, mother from Indonesia. I don't speak or write Chinese, although I studied a bit of Japanese, as my girlfriend is a Canadian-Born Japanese (nisei), just like my Toyota Corollas. (Also Canadian Born Japanese!) We have two corollas because we both use it to commute to work, and I know that she would like to drive something newer looking. I know it might be a bit of a waste of money compared to the sixth generation, but you know how girls can be. Thankfully, she is not wanting a Acura TL or something of the sort that could be rather expensive, and not very fuel efficent. I think she wants to at least look like she is not driving around in a beater, although I don't care less since I have already found the love of my life, and to save up for a baby, spending money on cars is best kept to a minimum.

My name is Umpa, nice to meet you all.
