Replace Speakers in 2005 Corolla

Do you corolla gurus know if these
Amazon Amazon
will fit in my 2005 Corolla? From what I can tell, these are going to be tough to install (removing rivets, etc...) but, as long as these will fit, I think I can get it done. Thanks!

They will fit. Their mount depth is 1.65".

My speakers are over 2" deep and fit just fine.

cool, even the 6.5" will fit?

Was the install ridiculous? I'm not installing a aftermarket receiver or AMP, so I hope it's mostly a swap. From what I read, I may have to remove some rivets though?

your corolla has

6.5 in the front and 6X9 in the rears. so don't buy all four 6.5's. I bought a 6.5 and tweeter set and bought 6X9's for the rears and they sound awesome. But I spent a few bucks.........

You can put 6.5" in the rear, but you will need an adapter. The speakers on their own will not fit.

I didn't do the install on the front. I had a gift card to a local installer so I used them. I took one look at the rivets and decided not to bother attempting it myself.

i drilled out the rivets, and found bolts that bolted tightly. i basically cut out the speaker from its original plastic basket and mounted the pioneer 6.5"s onto the basket for the stock speaker. if not then the new speakers wold not have bolted onto the door correctly. the reara 6x9"s fit almost perfectly, with the exception of maybe one screw per speaker.
GL!

How do the aftermarket speakers sound with just a replacement - OEM CD/Radio?

they sound great, like i said, i put pioneers all around and did not change the radio (oem cd player-am/fm radio). bass at -6 or -5 whatever the lowest is and treble at 0 sounds pretty good. Some songs i can reach max volume with no distortion, more bassy songs need to be played at about 45(volume) or less. The stock radio lets too much bass through even at the lowest setting, i would recomend buying component speakers that bring the little crossover for each speaker.
Keep in mind, i like my music LOUD...REALLY LOUD, if this isnt you then aftermarket speakers will be just fine for you.
Any other questions feel free to ask. I will be mounting a equalizer, 1 amp for the pioneers and another amp for a 10" or 12" sub in the near future.
