personally I don't care for them, They look (and are) bolted on and AFA performance goes they add absolutely nothing and actually detract with the extra weight and drag. Maybe, just maybe, they may help at speeds exceeding 80 mph, but I even doubt that. Other than that, GE on a Toyota Corolla is 99% vanity (look at me!).
Just my opinion.
As to the OP, I believe one hour with a socket set laying on your back would probably do the trick. You'd have some holes to patch, but not too bad. Good luck!
