what tire will fits on 18 inch rims?

thinking to save up to get summer wheels and tires. just one quick question, for 18 inch rims what type tires I use, p225 40 r18 or p215 45 r18

that depends on the what you've done to the car...
if its stock ride height you could fit 20's on there with 30 series tires...
so if you got a stock ride height you would put 40 series tires on there most likely (every inch you go up 5 on the number ex: 225-30-20/225-35-19/etc.)

I lowered my corolla 2.5" and am thinking of running the 40series still although I'm not sure it they would rub a lot
