Acceleration Rattle at 3k rpm after Air Filter replacement

I just drove ~500 from SF to LA. During the trip I stopped and checked under my hood because there were a lot of tumble weed on the road. I removed the large twigs and I pulled out the air filter and tapped cleaned it a few times. When I tried to reinstall the filter I put in 180 degrees back words. The top part of air filter enclosure wouldn't close and I tried it with some light tugging. After trying for about 3 minutes I figured it and and turned it 180 degree. I then was able to reinstall the filter and get back on the road.
Since then my car has been making a rattling noise at 3k to 4k rpm. I went to Kragens and picked up a new filter and installed it the proper way. Everything fits snug and I do not see anything bent or broken off on the enclosure. I'm going to check to see if there are any other twigs under my hood when the sun comes up, but in the meantime do you any of you have any opinions on what is happening here? I have about 25k on my 2008 Corolla. Do you think Toyota will cover this issue if it needs be?

Where exactly does the rattling come from? The same area as the air filter?

Stupid question, but did you snap all the spring clips back to their orginal position (I think there are 4 of them). If yes, and everything is snug around the filter, than the problem must come from somewhere else, maybe a coincidence.
