Canada MAF replacement

Hi,

My dad drives an '05 LE Auto and the engine light came on. He took it to a mechanic to have the code read and was informed that it's the MAF that is malfunctioning.

My questions are:

What's the best spray I can use for the MAF?
Where I can purchase an MAF here in Canada? Dad was quoted $250 (dealership) which seems ridiculous
Is there a DIY for MAF replacement for the Corolla of the model year I mentioned?

Thanks.

The MAF is located between in the air intake pipe/hose between the air filter and the engine. There's two screws that hold it in and an electrical harness plugs into it. You can buy electronic component cleaner/spray at parts stores. Remove it and spray it inside (look for two tiny wires) a few times. Be carfeful, the sensor wires are thin and delicate. Here in the states an MAF price can be around $150-$180. To reset your check engine light, disconnect the negative terminal on your battery for 3 mins or more.
