03 corolla new f/brakes squeal at 40 up

I replaced my front pads, calipers, turned rotors and bled the brake system 4 months ago. Brakes worked fine for 2 months then started squealing when pressing brake gradually at 40 mph or higher. I thought this would go away after they wore in. NO dice! I took the pads off and regreased the shims and tightened the metal holders. NO dice. I then pulled the rotors off cleaned them up with cleaner and cleaned regreased shims again, NO dice.
This week ended I swapped out the pads for some new ones and the squeal is gone. Those pads must have been made with to much metal in them. Oreilys best pads. What a pain in the butt.

Sometimes the pads manufactured with more metal material are noisier than stock, and quiet down in intense stop and go driving as they heat up. Just driving around for a few minutes making hard stops quickly seats them and the noise disappears. They also tend to produce less brake dust.

They were orielys best brand. I swapped these pads out for new ones and they are working great for now. I suspect I got a bad pad. Very noisy pad.

I've used Monroe, but recently used Raybestos in both my Corollas, and found them to be very quiet and effective.
