65,000 Mile Service

Hello everyone. Going to be taking my 2004 corolla LE (automatic) in the next several weeks for it's 65,000 mile service. Going to have the following taken care of:

- Oil and Filter change
- Transmission Flush (finally going to have it done)
- Battery checked
- Brakes inspected
- Belts inspected
- Fluid Levels checked

Anything else I should get put on the list. Thanks in advance.

Change PCV valve. If you never had the serp belt changed, now would be a great time to do it.

I know that the PCV valve is cheap, but it is very simple piece of hardware, and hardly ever breaks. Toyota doesn't recommend routine replacement. Is there any reason you do? (Bad experience, etc.)

My spring broken in my PCV valve causing a very high acid level in my oil.

And it didn't trigger a CEL?

No, it was apparent in the used oil analysis.

OK, then I guess it *is* justified... Maybe I should replace it, or get a used oil analysis...

Much cheaper to replace, but it is cool to see the health of the engine. Give VIN when ordering PCV.
