remote does not open drivers door

My keyless remote for my 2007 Corolla LE no longer works against the drivers door, but does for the others as normal when I press it a second time. The door lock works fine using the good 'ole manual key. Seems like maybe the remote sensor for the drivers door is the issue?? Any idea how to resolve an issue like this? Thanks in advance!

does the power lock switch on your driver door unlock the driver's door? cuz i'm pretty sure there's only one receiver, not one for each door or whatever you may think.

Thanks to all so far for their responses.
Under normal conditions with all vehicle doors locked I would press the "unlock" button on the remote and only the drivers door would unlock. Pressing a second time right away unlocks the other three doors.
Now the first press does nothing and a second press unlocks the other three just as before.
When inside the vehicle, if I press the power lock button on the drivers armrest to lock or unlock doors, the other three work fine but not the drivers door. The only way to lock or unlock the drivers door is with the actualy key or when inside toggling the driver door button.

definitely sounds like the lock actuator. honestly, if you're not really a very mechanically inclined person, it'd be best to have the dealership or a trusted gear-head friend fix it for you. electrical problems are some of the most difficult to find and fix properly.
