New Springs and Shocks Source?

Well the wife's 2005 Corolla is up to about 156,000 miles. I just had to put a new ECM in it this weekend and paid the stealership $96 to "program it" and that hurt. Changed the belt, plugs, coolant, cleaned the MAF sensor and throttle boddy, air filter, tranny fluid, battery and terminals....basically went over it with a fine tooth comb and she runs perfect....perfect.

I think it must be time for new coils and shocks/struts. I drove it for the first time in a LONG time yesterday and it just feels sorta harsh over every little bump, but still rides pretty good actually. But at this mileage I assume it must be in need of suspension TLC.

Can anyone recommend a good source of aftermarket struts and coils for these cars? It's just the wife's car, our commuter, so no need for "performance" parts and I'd like to avoid giving a penny to the dealership.

I think I found some options regwrding struts.

BUT....do I need to replace the springs on these cars too? I just springs and shocks on my jeep and made a world of difference with the new coils.

Just get new shocks. No need for springs if they don't sag.

Daaamn, almost 100 to program the ecu? The 'ship by me quoted me around half that to program it after i do my tranny swap!
Unless you're sagging so much that a shop can't perform a proper alignment or you're rubbing because it's sitting too low then the springs should be fine. By the way, it'd be a good idea to get the car aligned after installing (any) new suspension components, just FYI. good luck!
