Low beam went out...what kind of bulb do you think I should get?

My first post here. I just started doing this forum stuff on other sites for other products, and I really enjoy it, so I will be posting more here down the road.

2008 Corolla S

But right now I need to do something by tonight. One of my low beam bulbs died.

So I was wondering if I should upgrade both or just stick in another bulb, just like I pulled out (which is a Sylvania 9006 (22P 12V 51W-I don't know...I thought it was supposed to be 55Watt, is it only 51Watt?) I bought this car used, but expect that this is the original bulb.

Is there some other bulbs worth upgrading to?
Where should I buy since I need to do something by tonight, Walmart, Pepboys, Advanced Auto Parts?

Hey Thanks.

edit- the car is a 2008 Corolla S
I've tried to research but without much luck on such a short time frame. I guess I could just get the regular one for now, and use your suggestions later.

If you're on a budget, just get a replacement Sylvania, their xtravisison bulbs are supposedly brighter than the stockers.

Just be sure you get an uncoated bulb that's not colored, as those coatings will reduce light output.

Any of those three stores are good places to check out.

+1 do it in pairs. These bulbs will dim over time and you will notice the difference. It wouldn't surprise me to see the other fail soon anyway. Pairs is the way to go. I'd keep it close to OEM, that's my 2 cents worth.

Well I just got the one step over the stockers, the xtra visions (9006). Replaced both sides. But they didn't have any uncoated ones at the pepboys that I went to. The only oncoated ones I saw were the 9005, which were for high beams.
I think now I need to look into cleaning the inside of the headlights, as they seem dusty from the inside.
