Question 4th Wheel Hub Bearing (HELP!)

I am a new member and not as familiar as some of you with the Toyota make. I have owned my Corolla for roughly a year and a half now.

The front wheel bearing began to go out around October of last year. I decided to buy a cheap bearing from O'Reilly's and replace. After a few weeks the bearing began making noise. Tried this 3 consecutive times, believing that maybe it was a cheap bearing. On my fourth try, I bought a higher quality Federal Mogul bearing and gave it a try. After two weeks the bearing began making noise again. I am not sure why this keeps happening. Whether there is an issue with the wheel hub assembly as a whole or just bad bearings but I cannot afford to continue doing this.

I was wondering if anybody had a similar experience or some advice as to whether I should just by a whole new wheel hub or maybe there is another existing issue that is factoring into my situation. I did most of the work except for pressing on the bearing. My uncle, who happens to be a mechanic did that part. Any suggestions into my situation would be greatly appreciated.

I only replace with OEM toyota parts on toyota vehicles. I had a problem before with aftermarket junk.
OEM wheel bearing from dealer is $50.

http://www.autopartsplace.com/shop/?...=&N=0&uts=true

from this place which I ordered from there only $28. And OES genuine is a toyota part. It comes in a toyota package too. If you order over $50 from this site it free shipping too.

I did the oreily bearing thing also on my 03 corolla and have a growl in the drivers side wheel bearing again with 10 months on this bearing. If I have to replace again I to will use the toyota brand bearing this time.

Check out my recent experience.

"FWD Front Wheel Bearing Adapters" To remove frt wheel bearing

I think whats happening is that the shops doing the work are damaging the bearing seal and this makes the bearing leak. Water gets into this bearing and its toast in 5 months max. The more the car is used on long hwy rides the better. It gives the bearings time to heat up and evaporate the water. It is an art to press these bearings into the steering knuckle and hubs without damaging them. The first year parts changer at the shops shouldnt be doing this however in this economy the shops try to hire as many low pay scale employees as possible to improve profits.
