Car accelerating by itself

hello all,
I own a 2005 Toyota Fielder wagon, recently I noticed while applying brake the RPM would increase like if I was pressing the accelerator(this is not happening all he time). Has anyone experienced this. This is very scary. What could be causing this???

Maybe when you are applying the brakes your foot might still be touching the gas pedal. A lot of people don't notice but it happens.

its the rpm gooin nuts or just to 2500 ish. the idle increase when at times to adjust to prevent from stalling. hence the idle air control. without it u prett much end up either stumbling or stalling. if its going past 2500 then u got your self a problem.

I recommend taking your vehicle into a Toyota dealership as this could be serious and even thou a lot of Forum Members are pretty knowledgeable this should be left to the professionals.

I have an '03 LE that does the exact same thing -- very dangerous. What's up TOYOTA??? Trying to kill me? Maybe someone has put a hit out on me, no? But seriously, anyone else with the same issue? And what did you do to get it fixed? I am prone to implicate a dirty IAC valve or faulty TPS switch. Anyone???
