Check Eng p0441 p0455 p0456?

A couple of years ago my fuel pump failed while I was on vacation. I went to the local repair shop and found out that my corolla was one of the few actually manufactured in Japan. So, instead of a cheap fuel pump, mine cost around $900 and took 2 days to find (toyota reimbursed me since I had less that 60k miles at the time!). They didn't supply a new o-ring with the pump and the shop just reused the old one. Well, a couple of days later my check engine light comes on. I checked my codes and got the following, p0441 0455 and 0456. Point to some EVAP issue. I and the shop assumed it was probably the fuel pump o-ring. Anyway, it still runs perfectly and gas mileage isn't affected at all so since my emission wasn't due I just let it ride. Well, now that it's coming time for my emissions I want to get it fixed. Plus the light is annoying and can mask other issues though I've check the codes again and they are the same. I got new o-ring and plan on putting that in this weekend. Just for fun I replaced the gas cap as well but it made no difference as I sorta expected. Just curious if I need to apply anything to the o-ring before I install it so it seals well? Also, any other suggestions as to what I should check as well? I'm leaning toward the o-ring since that light came on right after the fuel pump change though there is the possibility it's a coincidence. As it is the light comes on for a few days then goes off for a few days. It's been cycling like this since the fuel pump change.
Anyway, I'd appreciate any input!

thanks!

where exactly does this o-ring go? I ask because those codes are for EVAP system leaks and I doubt that an o-ring that goes on the fuel pump itself would cause the EVAP monitor to fail. I would pull up the lower portion of the back seat and check to make sure the shop tightened down the cover for the fuel pump assembly all the way, something like that could definitely cause the EVAP monitor to fail.

The o-ring goes between the fuel pump assembly and the gas tank.

hmm, yea, that may be what's causing the codes if I'm understanding you right. you should go ahead and replace that o-ring either way.
