Newbie looking for some advice

I recently decided that I would like to start giving my car some TLC

More than the standard oil changes every 3000-5000 miles

Problem is that I don't know too much about auto repair.

Ironically enough I work for a company that manufactures some of the worlds best clutches, lift supports, and struts.

Here is what I'm looking to do;

I own an 07 Corolla (automatic) with about 67,000 miles on it, I'm looking to make this thing indestructible as it needs to last me another few years.

In addition to making it run like new, I would like to improve the interior and exterior appearance of the car

Am I out of my mind or is this a project that the forum can help me with?

Hope to hear from you soon!

Not much to make it indestructible. Might want to change to synthetic ATF, which is also the power steering fluid (do a flush of that too), flush the brake fluid, clean the throttle body.

Run a can of seafoam or Berryman's through it about twice between oil changes. I have put about half a million miles on cars doing this and have never ever had any throttle body issues. I have read on this site about people taking them out and cleaning them but I think it is not needed. No car is indestructible as the first bambi you can't avoid will show. I think mobil one is the best thing you could do if you really want your car to last. That and don't ever get the tranny hot, and change the fluid, filter as called for.

As for the appearance, A garage is the best way to keep it looking nice. I wish I had a two car garage so my Camry could be inside. A good coat of wax is what I do when your car can't be an inside dog:P

Can you guys recommend a good set of breaks as I think that will be the next thing to be upgraded,

I'm taking my car to the dealership for the "recall"

Is there anything I need to tell/ask them

Also, does anyone have any good recommendations regarding the stereo and speakers in the car? I have the 4 speaker non jbl set up

I like oem brakes. They stop fine and they don't put out much brake dust, easier to clean the wheels.

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com is the cheapest I have found.

I went digital Alpine amps, less power draw cleaner sound.
