removing windshield washer nozzles

I have a 2004 corolla. I tried to remove the driver's side windshield washer nozzle to clean it out, but couldn't seem to get it unclipped. Is there a trick to this? Do I need a special tool to do it? This seems like a lame thing to have to go to a repair shop for. Any suggestions?

Can't you clean them on the car? I did that before. I'm not sure it is possible to remove them (undestructively), but even if it is, clipping off a 6 year old piece of plastic is a call for trouble.
