fast idle on first start up

hi all
first off thank you for helping me with my brakes earlier it's great now. i own a 2007 corolla le about 39000 miles. i have another problem i think, i cleaned out my throttle plate and and throttle hose today. my engine was idling at about 600 to 750 rpms and rough now it's at 950 to 1000 it's a smooth idle, what's the problem is at the first start after sitting for a while i start it and the rpms go up to 2000 to 2100 and it slowly goes down to 1500 and then 1000 ,900 is this normal. also after sitting at a red light when i let go of the brakes the car moves it doesn't pull me at rhe red light though .the shop also told me there is a pending code in the ECU for a coolant temperature sensor but no check engine light is on at all and never went on . the car doesn't hesistate or stall . they also disconnected the battery i read on corolla nation that the computer has to relearn to idle is there a problem or is it normal should i have toyota reset the ECU oh toyota didn't do the work.it's only been one day should i wait? thank you for any help!!

Since you cleaned the throttle body and disconnect the battery the car has to relearn everything. Yes the car will idle differently at first. Just drive the car as you normally do and it will be back to normal before you know it.
