Battery disconnect or trickle?

I will be storing a 2005 Corolla in a garage for 2 or even maybe 4 months. I don't know whether to disconnect the battery or leave on a maintenance or trickle charger. My inclination is to disconnect but wonder if this will cause problems. Is there some "computer relearning". Thoughts, suggestions?

if you disconnect the battery the computer will have to relearn but it wont cause any driveability problems, just drive it around how you normally would for like 50 miles and the computer will have for the most part relearned all it needs to. i think disconnecting the battery for long term storage is the better than leaving a trickle charge on for that whole time, that might actually damage the battery.

Yes, that's what I was thinking. Question: with a 2005 do you know what the computer has to relearn. I'm guessing it just has to learn driver driving style to shift gears at the appropriate time and nothing else. I also have a Highlander Hybrid which I believe needs extra TLC if the battery voltage goes below 7v, like when disconnected, and thus requires a reset of the Idle Speed Control, but I don't think the Corolla is as sophisticated.

Battery tender all the way.
Have been keeping up my vehicle batteries for many years (e.g. my motorcycle battery is a 2003) and still going strong
