Kyb Gr2

I bought a pre-owned 2005 corolla S I noticed it has GR2s, are they the OEM
struts for that year? Does the XRS use the same OEM strut part number as the Corolla S
I need to change struts, would rather go back to OEM that new set of GR2s.

GR2's are OEM replacements.

You can use 1sttoyotaparts.com to look up cross-reference part numbers.

I know that GR2s are considered as replacements I am trying to find out what is the original strut that comes on a 05 rolla. I suspect that I m not running the original struts

Thanks for the response Mik, there are different versions of KYB eg there is a version of KYB called EXcel which is total crap. The Gr2s are better. I am trying to find out which version of KYB is the original strut that comes with the 05 corolla.. Anyone,anyone.....

The GR2s are a bit stiffer over over the regular black KYB. Looking at the KYB website, the only black passenger struts they have are Excel G, so I would conclude that the OEM are the Excel G.
