Bent Baffle

Is there anyway to fix a bent baffle without taking the valvecover off? Thanks BK

A clean hook type radiator tool may work, but you have to be careful not to touch the cam.

There is a TSB on this issue, if you get it serviced at a quick lube place you may want to bring it up with them. Most of the time the gun gets jammed down the fill or a funnel pushes down on it.

I service the vehicle myself, pour in qt bottles at a time... might just end up pulling the cover...

Are the gaskets on the cover re useable? Because if the radiator pick doesnt work then Ill have to pull the cover but nobody around me has a gasket set in stock.

Gaskets are not reusable, luckily they are not that expensive. Will you take any pictures of engine with the cover off, if it gets to that point?

I went to O'reilly's this morning and bought a pick set and was able to bend it back up. I just hope it wasnt bent down far enought to cause damage to my cam...
