Engine cover

Hi guys

I just took off the plastic engine cover and wondering if i can leave it off. Would there be any problems or issues leaving it off?

Thanks,

Chris

No problems, it is for cosmetic purposes and provides a bit of sound dampening. .

yea the intake manifold in front the engine rite. I'm thinking to take off the plastic covering and just polish the intake manifold. I think that would look better.

Has anybody taken it off before? any advice on how to do it?

PS i see the corolla xrs doesn't have the covering, thats where i got the idea from lol

I considered leaving my engine cover off but if you ever clean your engine compartment water will get into the plug holes and in the coil packs.
