10" Woofer

Is it possible to get a 10" woofer in the 03 corolla, preferable with a 1.0 cu ft box. I know it can go in the trunk but don't like the idea of pumping the sound through the rear seats. Anyway to use the rear window deck with the rear speakers removed?

I'm not sure a 10 will fit there...maybe two 8s or there are 6x9 subwoofers also. For 10s or 8s, you'll need to do some cutting and ensure that the sub works well for infinite baffle if you want to skip the enclosure. Elemental Design, Focal, JL and a few others make 6 or 6.5" subs also but they may need enclsoures of some sort.

I have a sealed 10 in the trunk with a .7 enclosure, and personally, I think it's suitable even in a Camry for what I want.

What type of sound are you going for?

I'm looking for high fidelity. No punk or rap, just soft rock. I was not thinking of an infinite baffle. I was thinking of building an enclosure for the 10" in a sealed box. But then out of the speaker do something like 10" sheet metal duct with tee top that has openings directly under the 6x9's. Or,drill a series of holes in the middle with a 10" circle, and mount the woofer, in its sealed enclosure, with the woofer pressing under the drilled hole pattern. The trunk is also an idea but I've never done that before and didn't know how it would sound.

FYI
Bass is nondirectional. Obviously if you put it behind the rear seats you'd feel it more, but for the most part don't worry about pointing it in a direction.
