Stiffen up suspension help

hi there, tried doing a little searching on stiffening up the suspension but couldnt find the answer i was looking for. i have an 03 corolla s and it just feels way too spongy and was looking to stiffen the suspension up all around and maybe lower it an inch. seems like when i have someone in the back seat the ass sags too much for my liking. if you have any suggestions it would help me out a bunch.

Also im trying to get a hold of some push clips that hold the plastic fairings on under the motor preferably be able to order them online if possible as i am located on a military post in germany. Checked 1sttoyotaparts.com but couldnt seem to find them if they even are available.

thanks

Eibach Pro springs will give you a little over 1" drop and a new set of OEM shocks (KYB I think) will feel a lot better assuming the ones you have are original and the car has done typical mileage.

Tokico Blues would be a good upgrade in the shocks department.

Both items are available online.

also look into a rear sway bar, Progress makes a nice 24mm one that you can find around for a good price and they help stiffen up the rear end nicely when turning, it's, imo, a really good bang-for-your-buck part.

that's where I got mine from, they're a trusted source among us ZZ motor enthusiasts and they have it for a really good price

Also look into getting stiffer struts.

Bilstein HD's have had some good reviews.

More than suspension stiffness, you should look to increase the chassis rigidity as the 1ZZ chassis flexes way too much (used to have a 2004 Corolla S). Sway bars, strut tower bar can be a good start for this. If you want to spend more, you can buy the standard XRS fixed rear bench and 4-point chassis X-brace, which will help enormously to stiffen up the rear box.

p.s. Remember a stiffer suspension does not always means a better handling car. You could be understeering a lot more with a stiffer suspension, if not done right. However, a stiffer chassis will always lead to improved cornering speeds and stability (at the cost of comfort since any bump will ripple across the entire chassis) due to reduced chassis flex caused by inertia.

Both are available. OEM and aftermarket.
