Maint light flashing 1500 miles too early

Usually it comes on 500 miles before the 5000 OCI but this time it has come on 2k before.

The car is dealer serviced and the light was reset after the last service.

Any reason why it would come on so early? I know it doesn't monitor the oil so it isn't like the oil is suddenly no use any more (running Mobil 1).

I am planning to do the oil myself for the first time and get a UOA done on the Mobil 1 so I would like to avoid having to take it into the shop to get this checked out.

Ideas welcome.

Cleared it up. Seems I last got the car service at 68k instead of 70k (cannot think why but that makes sense as far as the flashing maint light is concerned).

I'll probably run the Mobil 1 to 75k and then swap it out and get a UOA done it it for 7k of running.
