I received 4 255/45/ r17 tires. I was wondering if anyone knew if these will fit a 2008 toyota corolla.

255's are major overkill for an econobox. i wouldnt go that wide.

assuming you still want to use these, if you get rims for these tires, your going to have to get some major offset for clearance issues.

for example, i have 225 45r17, and have about 2 fingers clearance between the inner sidewall and strut tower. the wheels i am running are +35 offset. i think stock is +45. you might be looking at getting +15 or +10 for an offset. my opinion is that this would look just plain silly on a corolla.

i suggest to sell the tires and use that money to put towards a w/t setup that looks nice rather than 'making things work' with the current offering

Just sell on your local craigslist and save up. Then use that money to get the summer deal at Discount Tires (Tires & Wheels deal).
