2003 Corolla dash lights flickering

I'm new here and I have a 2003 corolla ce. I installed a new battery last night and when I hooked the cables back up and got in the car, a relay started clicking under the dash almost constantly for a few minutes. Associated with the click, the back lights of the dash and the marker lights flash on as well. This stops after a couple of minutes but once hit the brake or put the key in or start the car it picks up doing it again. Any ideas? Everything else is working fine other than the ac which was not working before this started.

Never mind, I had to drive it into town and when I got there, it just stopped doing it and hasn't started it again since. Oh well...now the ac...
