I gave a jumpstart, now my 2007 Corolla won't start

Hello,

Last night a gave a damsel in distress a jumpstart, but when I got home the electronic locks did not work when I was locking up. I then tried to start it but it did not start. Her car was an old chevy and I drive a 2007 Corolla.. The drive home was fine... the only minor problem was the CD player turned off for a couple of seconds but then turned back on. Did I kill the battery? Maybe worse? Please help. Thanks!

Is there any possibility that you reversed the cables? A blown Alternator relay comes to mind.

No, they were on there right... red on red, black on black. I did notice that my AC was on while giving the jumpstart though which might have something to do with it.. I'm thinking maybe the battery somehow got drained since the power locks don't work... but I have no idea. I'm going to get a new battery after work. Alternators sound expensive! Thanks for the reply.

I would check the fuses first. The higher current load of a jump can sometimes be too much.
