No Start

I bought an 05 four months ago with miles in the mid 50's. I have had no issues with it until yesterday.

My wife was driving it and it suddenly started to run rough and die. It restarted and ran poorly for a few minutes and she was able to pull into a parking lot . . . not to restart again.

We pulled the fuel line and it was dry. The we checked for power at the pump. Only one wire had power and it was the fuel guage. We swapped the relays under the hood and nothing changed.

After searching I found hundreds of posts regarding hard start situations on the 05 Vibe/Matrix/Corrolla. They were hard to restart after sitting for an hour or so and involved tsb's on the pcm and the fuel pump.

It appears my situation may be different. Many people complained that replacing the pcm and or fuel pump didn't fix the problem. I never saw any definitive posts that stated posts that the problem was solved.

I am out of warranty and can't afford to start parts changing. Where do I go from here??

Rick

I would check all of your fuses under the hood and inside. Sometimes the EFI or ECM fuse (I'm not sure what it's called) pops because of a short in one of the oxygen sensors. Just my thought, hope this helps.
