I'm new here at TN... I must have been searching in the wrong places on here, but i cant find any info so far that can help me out.. I am planning on either getting Tein S.tech or Ksport Gt lowering springs for my corolla.. The tein h. techs could be an option also..
The S.tech have a 2.3" drop front/ 2.4'' drop back..
The Ksport Gt's have an even 2" drop front and back..
The H.tech have a 1.7" drop front and 1.8" back...
I am running 16X7 Konig rims right now on 205 55 R16 tires... I basically wanna get rid of the fender gaps, down to a finger gap in the front and possibly a finger and a half gap in the back.. Pretty much i wanna even it out and get rid of the gaps.. But i dont want my tires to end up rubbing when i turn..
Anybody know if either of the lowering springs above will be ok? I wanted the S.techs but im worried they may rub.. Or if there is any other brand.
I've been considering the S tech's as well. Once I get my other rims on 17x7.5 I'll probably start ordering parts for the drop. I say go for it, but just remember to alter your driving style some what to accomedate the lowered stance of the car. aka: no, you can't go 25mph over a speed bump without repercussions. no, you can't ride the bumper over parking blocks anymore so it's best to park shallow in parking spots, etc.

For a quality spring, you can’t go wrong with H&R race springs (2” drop F&R). This is my 2nd Corolla that I’ve ran these springs on and the ride is a little stiffer than stock but not bouncy. On ruff roads, you will have to be a little more cautious but I have no problems on country road as long as I avoid the large pot holes. Wheel gap is almost a finger on the front and just a finger on the rear. I seldom rub the fender liner but I do plan to replace the factory struts with Tokico HTS adjustable struts.

Thanks... Yeah i do watch out for the speed bumps around here if my car is lowered or not.. it's just a habit i have i guess, some or pretty steep here in town.. and from backing into parking blocks before and scraping up my magnaflow exhaust a few times, im watching that a lot closer too..

Thanks for the answer... I do hear that alot about H&R race springs, my cousin's husband likes them a whole lot... and he has had them on his cars..
Tokico is the brand im going with as well.. my stock struts and shocks are blown from almost a 100k driving on them ... and now its time for a upgrade.. so im going with the tokico's as well.. i am gonna order the springs this next thursday so i got a few days left to make my decision on which springs to get..
Thanks again..

Based on the pictures, it doesn't look like you'll rub at all.
I've been on S-Techs and didn't rub with 225/45/17's on 17x8.5's with a 35 or 38 offset.
But I'm on KSport coilovers now, dropped maybe 3 inches in the front and 4 inches in the rear. The rubbing is horrible... But the thing is, I still don't scrape anything. In fact, I NEED to go STRAIGHT over speed bumps. If I try to be cool and snake it, it'll sound like my fenders are tearing through my tires.

I'm pretty sure you don't need a camber kit for either, especially the rear, the rear shouldn't be affected at all. Just get an alignment and all should be fine.
