Battery Replacement

I'm about to buy a new replacement battery because my old one is dying out. Should I get a specific brand or type? There's the plastic looking ones and there's the metal top ones..

Autozone Duralast or NAPA legend or basically anything from Johnson controls.

Make sure to check the date stamp on the top or side of the battery (depending on the specific manufacturer) to make sure you're getting a fresh one. If you don't know how to read the number just Google the info....

I replaced my battery with a Walmart one about a year ago, haven't had any issues with it. Worked well for me.

Alright, thanks for all the replies. I also didn't know batteries have an expiration date. Some of these things look dusty too!

If you have a Costco membership, or know someone that does, their batteries about about the best deal around. It's $60 plus $9 core and tax.

The last one I bought was on Monday and it had a manufacturing date of 6/10 so it's definitely fresh. They have a sticker on the stop indicating the month and year of manufacture.
