Question 2007 - OBD II - Communication Error!!!

I have a 2007 Corolla with 24k miles. I have a CEL, however i get a No Communication Error when attempting to connect via a scan tool. I'm using a Snap on Solus Scan Tool, i also brought it to auto zone to see if they can connect, No Luck.

All the fused are ok, Car feels like its running as normal.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

Scanner has to be CAN compliant but it is interesting that AZ cannot connect. When it comes time for emissions testing, they must connect to the OBD. Did you disconnect the battery recently or kill the battery? If so, you will need more drive cycles.

The Snap on solus is CAN compliant so thats not the problem. Terminal 16 at the OBD2 diagnostic connector should have power to it at all times. If there is no power there take a close look at the OBD 7.5amp fuse in the fuse panel on the drivers side in the dash.

Hmm...thats a new one. Its still a fairly new car to have wiring problems, but the next step would be to check the data wires from the diag. connector to the ECM. I would think the problem has to be there given that the car starts and runs normally.
