Interior water leak (2003 Corolla)...

...girlfriend's car. I think it's an '03 or an '04. Sunroof, automatic. A shade over 100k miles.

This problem has been erratic over the last few months, however, we've finally been able to narrow it down to the following:

1. It only occurs when it rains
2. When making left hand turns, you can hear water moving on the right side of the car
3. Water will trickle into the front passenger feet area

It has gotten worse, however, in that now it's occurring in the driver's side as well as the rear areas. I've taken out the glove box, and have seen water in there as well.

FWIW, it's only water. No coolant. Just water. We'd like to get this fixed, but am curious if it's something I can fix. My first instinct is the drainage for the sunroof, but not sure if this could be it. The odd thing is the sound of water moving around on left turns.

Thoughts?

Thanks all!

Before i go along with my solution, in my case its not the rain being an issue but the fact whether you are using the ac when this water occurs. Verify to see once the ac is working your drain plug is spilling the water outside of the vehicle, in my case the water stayed inside. Please let me know if you have the same problem.

Sound like a clogged AC drain. Mine made the same sound on turns.

The drain is located on the lower part of the firewall on the passenger side. A wire coat hanger shoved up there cleared it out for me. I doubled the end over and taped it together to avoid poking a hole in the heater core.
