My wifes vehicle has deveolped a front vibration when going about 60 mph. (when i went about 80mph it seemed to be a little better but i don't drive it enough to figure it out) the car has 130k on it. I had the front end aligned and the tires balanced about 8k miles ago. there was no vibration before or after i had that work done. the problem showed up in the last 4k miles or so. I toouch a quick look underneith and did not see anything unusual. please give me any feedback of what might be causing the issue, any feedback about common issue would be appreciated......thanks......the vehicle in question is the vibe in my sig. I believe the setup is very similiar if not identical to the corolla.....

also I changed the front pads and rotors about 10k miles ago. I used advanced auto rotors that were about $40. I know have a vibration when i apply the brakes. I think they warped already. could these issue be related?

I would still get the tires checked for balance. Wives are known to run into curbs and such. Depending on where you got your tires it might not even cost anything to check.

ok i brought it back to sears and they rebalanced the front tires and supposedly looked the front end over and did not see anything. I drove it home and it is the same the shake is still their. the mechanic did say the struts are probably ready to be replaced with 133k on it he said they were not leaking but it is possible they are causing the shake........what are the inner axles that someone mentioned .........any feedback would be appreciated.....

Tire/wheel roundness and balance are the usual problem here. I work in a tire and auto service business. We have seen a trend in the last year or so of for Chinese made brake rotors and drums to be poorly cast and then not balanced. Rotors as much as 2oz. out and drums as much as 10oz. out are common. These crummy parts are distributed through auto parts chains. I doubt they are aware of the problem. Take your front wheels off. Look for balance cuts on the outer edge of the rotor in the vent area.
I took my drivers side tire off. Ido not know what you mean about lookingat the rotor vents. I did not see anything out of place. BJ. Tierod seemed fine I could not tell ifthe wheel bearingwas ok itseemedto move a little from 9 to 3 with the tire on
