I ran into the same problem with my coworker's car. He has a 2007 Corolla CE. I spoke to a local stereo place and confirmed this with the dealer. The LE model Corolla comes with keyless entry standard from the factory. The CE never came with keyless entry What I'm getting at is the CE models will also need the associated module/receiver installed to get the keyless entry to work.
