Greetings!

First Post!

Just got out the military recently; with enough cash to drive out of a dealership in a new car that's been paid in full! Instead, I opted to go the "used" route. Bought an '03 Corolla CE. White. Good car, gets me where I need to go. Bought it for Mileage reasons. It was either an '06 Focus or this. $5,500.

Owned Honda (FULLY STOCK) and Mitsubishi in the past. Living in Japan, I had a 3rd Generation Evo. I'm done with all that for the time being. Wanted a nice economy car. Tires needs to be changed soon. Local shop offers "tire and wheel" packages. Browsing, I found a 13 lb Konig wheel for about $100.00. Thinking of swapping out my steel wheels for those Konigs. Keeping it same size @15".

Getting to the point: Wanted the opinion of fellow Corolla owners and "peers"...Would i be going the "Ricer" route if I went ahead and bought these wheels? Nothing flashy really. But i'm afraid of looking like something i despise. No offense to any real ricers out there. Just thought the wheels were cheap and weighed less.

Just me, but consider painting the stock wheels black and getting a set of nice after market 15" wheel covers. That will really clean up the looks. Then spend the bucks on some really good tires.

This an example. I guess the "Light" and "Style" parts got me.

Although the "K Tune" writing may seem a bit much. It'll be 15" on those common '03 White Corollas with black trim. As far as tires. I thought i was going into the store and spend my money on quality tires. But I was looking at some Toyo A/S Extensas. Read some good reviews. About the same size as what i have now. "Only" about $75 each. Thought it's sufficient. Driving for MPG. I heard "moondiscs" might be better for MPG.

yeah the wheels i have now are stock black. i do need a wheelcover though. One fell off. other than that. car is in very good condition.

if it wasn't for the fact i spent less on this car than I thought i would; i would not even be contemplating the Konigs.

to TN!

I don't think the rims you posted don't really look "ricey" in my taste. Just not a big fan of small wheels especially 15". but the ones you posted are 14". Your tires would be real meaty right? As in a big side wall? I've seen some cars like that and they can really pull it off. Those rims are real light as well!
