Best tire for MPG and noise

Need new tires for my 03 Corolla, stock rims. The two criteria I have are noise, and mpg. Any recommendations.

I am a Michelin man myself. Best tire on the market hands down.

I think you are going to get some noise in these cars. I run Michelin Hydroedge on my wife's and they are way outlasting the Yokohamas that I bought before. They aren't really quiet, but not noisy either. They do last a long time and are a very good all around tire. I tried them in snow soon after they were put on the car and I was suprised how well they do. They handle great. My wife even remarked how the car felt much more stable as soon as they were on. They aren't cheap, but they are an 80,000 mile tire, so figure that into things.

Since money is not an option, the Michelin Energy Saver A/S fit what you are looking for.

Michelin primacy MXV4 will work well for you. I see your location is Texas so snow traction may not be a big deal. They are "green X" rated in most sizes, including the 185/65R15 or 195/65R15 you use. Many tire makers are offering higher mpg tires. They offer slightly reduced rolling resistance but cost more and wear somewhat faster.

I didn't notice you were in TX. That MXV4 is listed as quiet and that is your criteria. I will just say I've been buying tires for a long, long time and finally have decided just to stick with Michelin. I've never had a complaint about them. Every time I can think of that I bought another brand it just hasn't come to the same standard.
