Mod 2005-2006 Corolla XRS to folding rear seats?

Is it possible to mod the 2005-2006 Corolla XRS so that it has folding rear seats?
Has anyone done it?

My 03 ce corolla has a folding rear seat. No need for mod

The XRS has different rear seats due to the cross brace in the trunk.

Ok, so then the seats from the other Corolla's just won't work? Oh well. Just thought I'd check.

The fixed bench seat is there because X-brace at the back does not allow enough space for things to pass through. The X-brace is quite a critical part of the torsion rigidity of the XRS.

I have tested it without the X-brace and definitely the chassis flex of the top half of the car is very noticeable without it under lateral forces. There is also more jittering of the rear over bumpy surfaces.

Anyway, if you will remove and put a folding seat, you will have to remove the X-brace as well, but then I think you probably should have got a 1ZZ in the first place.
