Differences between US and EU version (2004 LE)

Dear Friends,

I am exploring the costs associated in moving a our Toyota Corolla (2004 LE) from the US to Switzerland.

After quickly browsing some other forums, my impression is that it may be expensive to make the car comply with EU safety/emission standards. Also availabilitity of spare parts and insurance prices could be an issue.

A couple of questions to the gurus out there:
What are the major differences between the US and EU models of the 2004 Corolla LE? Would it be a major headache to get the US model compliant with the EU standards?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best Wishes

You would have to consult the Swedish governments laws on vehicle importation.

Hi,

You should alter front lightings from symmetrical to asymmetrical, separate front traffic indicators from position lights and made new, assembly anti-fog rear light.
