New here, figured I'd post some mods/DIY's

Hey all, posted in the intro section and figured I'd post here as well with all of the mods/fixes thus far to the corolla.

It had some smaller windshield cracks and some rust spots from a small abrasion (from the previous owner aka my dearest mother-in-law). I bought the DIY crack kit from walmart just to give it a shot and it actually worked pretty well on the smaller cracks (sorry no pics of that).

As for the rust, got it removed and touched up a little

Here's a before and after

Also did a headlight swap to a set of ebay halos

There was originally a yellow light above the amber signals that we decided we didn't want on all the time so we wired it in with the turn signal

Then there's air silencers. Any friends car we happen to get to work on we always do this in some way (usually in a more professional manner than we did with this one but we're still working on this). In the video we just have the excess cut and taped off, usually we'll run the tube down to the foglight housing (with cars that don't have fogs, just the plastic covers which we remove or vent somehow) so it's kinda similar to the track cars you see with a headlight missing for the ram air effect.

we're kinda in the boonies of the eastern shore, my family's from TN and FL and my buddy is all from lower DE, so we've dubbed it Redneck Ram Air (appropriately)

and yes we cleaned out the trail mix that was in the intake box there

You're not missing much lol, I didn't notice any difference at all afterward except for maybe the car being a little louder while accelerating. I wouldn't say it's worth it to go through the trouble to do unless you happen to already have the front fascia off and some tools/supplies around to make the mod.
