06 won't unlock using key/works OK with fob

Hi,

The other day I went to unlock the car manually using the key and it would not open. Both door locks would not work. It works fine with the remote.

I bought the car new and am guessing never bothered trying to open it manually before now. The dealer originally gave me two master keys and remotes. Both remotes work fine but neither key will unlock it manually.

No problems with using the keys on the ignition, glove box, or trunk.

When I try to turn the key I can't get any movement from the lock mechanism at all. I have had locks on other cars freeze/stick before but usually you could feel some movement to them but not these, they are locked solid.

It's an S and has the anti-theft.

Any ideas??

Does your car still under warranty? If so, bring it to the dealer. ( don't take it the wrong way but I am just saying because some people forgets about the warranty).

If not, then maybe it's the lock mechanism itself
