oem versus aftermarket bumpers

are there any differences btween either? I saw on the news a long time a ago that certain aftermarket bumpers will crack upon the slightest impact, while OEM will just have a dent.

Everything is better on the OEM. Whether the bumper cracks or not depends on what material it's made out of. Fiberglass bumpers will obviously crack whenever outside stress is placed on it. Polyurethane bumpers have quite a bit of give (flex) before it will dent and can be repaired easily even after dents occur.

With that, OEM is the obvious choice.
