Underbody Glow

I was looking into running LED's under my car for a nice glow effect. Yes I know it is illegal which is why i will place them on a switch for manual control. I go to a lot of car shows and since my car is in fantastic condition my friend mentioned I should put a bit of work into it and maybe show it off. I have a few places I can buy the parts cheap and I know how to wire them in. I was just wondering if anyone else has done it and has any pictures.

I have a red 07 Corolla S. I was also wondering if anyone knows of any good BLACK rims to put on it.

I already put in a good sound system, going to tint windows, new rims/tires, underbody lighting, have HIDS. Any other cosmetic ideas? I'm not doing any performance issues. I enjoy my ~36/37mpg.

I will post some pictures up here later after class if anyone is interested.

I have Neons instead, but yeah I have underglow too. The back one burned out because of there was pressure between the rear bumper and the backup tire holder cavity, so I replaced them with LED Strips and they work just as good. Anyways yeah I'm in the same situation as you, I have a Corolla S too, here's some pics of mine, installation was fairly hard since I couldn't find any decent holes to hold the Neon Tubes, but LEDs should be easier,

The last 2 are bad quality, but you'll see the point. They look pretty darn good,

Corolla's can get girls too mine did

tell me how the HID's work out for you, I have Sylvania Silver Star Ultra's giving me a good 4300k WHITE lighting, and it's serving me pretty well, but a little more blue would had been good.

and an idea, since I already have the underglow on, I'm gonna piggyback wires from those to the inside and put in the extra LED Strips I have and put them in as footwell lighting, it'll also be my indicator lights if my neons are on. just a suggestion

and I know the car looks black, but it's actual the dark blue one.

My HID choice was for white white since i didn't want to mix in a blue tone with a red car. A buddy of mine has a new 2010 S blue corolla with the blue HID's and they are definitely sick looking. I am looking into the LED's in the footwells. I would just tie them in behind my stereo because when I installed it I ran an extra accessory line.

I've seen a few different pictures of LED vs neon/cathode. And the LED's in general did seem the easier in installation/maintenance.

Your car looks nice. The same look i'm going for. Stock yet with enough flair to stand out.
