Is this an AC stink or a general car stink?

Did you check/replace you cabin filter. Could be something funky on the filter.

I use an enzyme killer spray that is normally for my hockey equipment. Makes it smell like nothing. No stank or perfume.

I'll bite, what is "general car stink"?

In other's cars the smells are usually confined to cigarette smoke in smoker's cars. Rotting food smell in cars that haven't been cleaned out in a good long time. Musty/moldy smell due to water infiltration into cabin and mold growing. Smells from the air flow vents which can have various causes. Masking the smell is one way to fix the issue but the issue is still there. Better way is to find out what is causing the smell and either stop doing what causes the smell or use industrial strength cleaners to clean and deodorize the car cabin.

One common cause for really bad smells in cars is a rodent/cat/small animal has crawled up into some aspect of the car and or it's ventilation system and has died. Better to find out where it died and remove it in. I've read stories of people tearing apart the dash to remove dead critters from their cars.

Try some upholstery/carpet cleaner. My 2005 XRS had the same thing - it was clean and I'd periodically use the pine trees and some other air fresheners. But it was never nice & fresh.

So I used some Blue Coral upholstery/carpet cleaner. I cleaned the seats and front mats and the car smells great! I guess there was dirt/grim in the carpet and upholstery. The floor mats were incredibly dirty.

I prefer "Leather" one. It is not too strong if you pull down the cellophane cover one notch every week.
It used to be called "New car smell" but for some reason they have changed it to Leather and now the New car smell one has a new scent that is horrible.
