HID dont on manually while driving
HI everyone. I know there's alot of posts on HID and DRL's, and issues, and what not. I searched these posts for like 15 min, but didn't find an exact answer to the problem i'm having, so i'd appreciate it someone can have some input on my issue, thanks!
basically, i have installed HID kit, low beam, on headlights and foglights, also have used a DRL relay harness. When my key is in the car, but the car is not running (only battery) everything works perfect, headlights, foglights, it looks awesome. but the issue comes when i'm driving...i go to turn on my lights manually (DRL doesn't work anymore, maybe because of the harness? no idea), and the headlights dont turn on. the fogs work perfect, and the side signals turn on, but the headlights dont. at night, i basically have to turn on all my lights, THAN start the car. but you can see this will be a problem if i'm driving and it starts to get dark, and i can't really stop in the middle of the road just to turn on my lights.
I tried fiding a solution, and read some random stuff about reverse polarity? also about "error code elimators" and also someone suggested that the DRL is causing some issue, and to disable DRL, even though i'm using the relay harness.
Not sure if other 04 corolla people had this problem with their HID kit, but thats why i'm here! i hope someone can help, thanks in advance.
