Canada 299,999kms!

Hello there, 1st post. My 03 was getting close to 300,000kms. Got the car brand new from dealer in 02, new body style. Been a great little car. Around 296,000kms the trans blew up, before that changed oil, tires, minor stuff. So got a used trans with 50,000kms on it. Replace the clutch, front struts cause were starting to leak oil. Then did front wheel brgs, 1 sounded abit rough. Did brakes all the way around, still had some facing left. Drove for couple days, then a rear wheel brg went out. It sounded find when did brakes, replace both. Now kms are getting closer to 300,000kms. Then check engine comes on. It upstream O2 sensor, misfire on cyl 1 & 2. Replace sensor, sparks plugs. All good, get to 299,999kms. It wont go to 300,000kms. I been waiting all this time, its stop counting. Both trip A & B work fine. Heard Toyota has a 300,000km club, but techinally cant get into it as it wont turn over. Oh well, cant put anymore kms on it, lol.

This issue popped up on here before, it affected the 1st generation Matrix as well. You can try discussing it with your dealer to get an odometer replacement. Some have successfully negotiated and got Toyota to chip in for the cost but YMMV.

I.believe this issue happens to all ninth gen corollas as my dads corolla have already reached that two years ago so he uses the trip to calculate the km. Still drivable

Hey Guys, I drive a 7th gen so i' usually posting on that forum but my mom has an05 with this exact same problem. Odometer stop counting at 299,999kms but trip meter etc. all work fine. Let me know if you have any luck getting the dealer to pay.

So, on the US spec cars, ours will stop at 300,000 miles? If so, you KM folks got ripped off on terms of distance driven.
