2006 Corolla S Shift Lever illumination problem

Lights are out in the shift lever indicator, How do you check wiring to the lights before replacing it (it may not need replacing if it is just disconnect)

Any pictures will be helpful.

I do not know if you fixed this yet but it is probably just the bulb. Getting to it will be a chore. Really only way to tell is to actually check the blub socket and wiring to the socket.
